I don't know whether Thom's been in touch with you or not, so
forgive me if I'm repeating this message. We're compiling a selection
of new responses to John Taggart's work & wondered if you'd have any
interest in contributing something. I've only just now seen your
essay/discussion of John's work on the Poetry Foundation site, which
is pretty great--any chance you might have more to say about John's
work?

A bit about the project: it's being compiled for Little Red Leaves
(www.littleredleaves.com), where I'm a contributing editor, & will
include both an online and a print feature. The online version we hope
can act as a small archive of Taggart materials, including links to
essays elsewhere online, as well as (hopefully) out-of-print
materials, as permissions are granted. The online feature will include
all the materials featured in the print version, as well. The print
version will be reserved for a smaller gathering of new writing on
John's work, some poems (from John, Ted Enslin, Elena Rivera & maybe
others), a review or two, and editorial framing the project &
suggesting the necessity for further attention. The print version will
likely be a relatively small run, mostly for contributors & John
himself & a handful of other folks. John's involved & has generously
agreed to let us publish a previously unpublished essay of his on
Black Mountain, & Bob Bertholf has compiled an extensive bibliography
of all John's work in print, as well as a new essay (on John's "Odor
of Quince" poem), both of which will be included in our thing.

More materials are coming from other contributors, and we've still yet
to solicit everyone we intend to ask, but we'd _really_ love if you
had anything you might be willing to contribute, and we're not under a
tight deadline if you could be persuaded to write something new...
Also, though it sounds like a festschrift, we'd like it to resist
operating as such, so please don't feel at all limited in the kind of
response we're asking for. We'd love to have anything you'd like to
send. If you're interested, please let me know.

...I'd love to send you some books from Dos Press, too, which I
co-edit with Julia Drescher, if you wouldn't mind sending along a
postal address where they can be sent. We're both huge fans of your
work, but for some reason don't have you on our mailing list yet.

Hope to hear from you soon!

W/admiration & thanks,
CJ Martin
cm49600@gmail.comCJ Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01530435858338083292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26065320.post-4773363829169537702007-12-21T07:32:00.000-08:002007-12-21T07:32:00.000-08:00Cathy,I host Wordsalad, a weekly radio program in ...Cathy,
I host Wordsalad, a weekly radio program in Madison, Wis. of contemporary spoken word and poetry. I air audio of poets reading their own work. I'd enjoy airing your work as well.
